About Me

Carlos Rivas A.K.A. Teck. A Los Angeles native, was brought up in the hair and beauty industry. His mother, a cosmetologist and esthetician of 40+ years taught Teck the in's and out's of the beauty industry. She taught him men's and woman's haircuts, including chemical services, nails, and retail. He has been cutting hair on and off for 23 years due to military obligations and grad school. Teck has 15 years of marketing, multimedia design experience in a corporate setting. He was a Creative Director for a medical device company. He was in charge of national and international brand management and marketing. "I have always been passionate about the beauty industry. With my brand awarenesses and marketing background attending Paul Mitchell The School Richland was a no brainer. John Paul DeJoria path to success aligned well with my current path, and his story is an inspiration to me. I want to create, inspire, educate, and innovate.
